Everything feels a little louder lately.
This is part of a weekly Astro-Apothecary series tracking the evolving astrological landscape and its practical application using herbs and aromatics in daily life.
I’ve been noticing how hard it is lately to fully settle into anything.
Not because nothing is happening — because too much is happening all at once.
Too much information, too many opinions, too many half-finished thoughts bouncing around in everyone’s heads. Even when I try to slow down, I catch myself reaching for my phone out of habit before I’ve even had a second to think.
There’s a strange feeling of being mentally full but somehow still searching for something. Anything.
I think a lot of people are feeling that, whether they realize it or not.
The shift
Gemini season is fully underway now, which means everything is speeding up.
More conversations. More ideas. More reacting. More trying to keep up. The collective energy feels restless in a way that’s hard to ignore.
But underneath all the movement, there’s also exhaustion. Not dramatic burnout exactly. More like the realization that constant stimulation doesn’t actually leave much room to hear yourself think.
Current astrological landscape
Sun in Gemini
The collective focus shifts toward communication, learning, networking, media, movement, and information. Mentally, things feel busier.
Mercury in Gemini
The mind moves quickly here. Great for conversations, brainstorming, writing, and connecting dots. Not so great for staying present for more than five consecutive minutes.
Venus in Gemini
Relationships become lighter and more conversational, but there’s also a tendency toward distraction or emotional inconsistency.
Mars in Leo square Pluto retrograde in Aquarius
This feels like one of the bigger underlying tensions this week.
Mars in Leo wants visibility and momentum. Pluto in Aquarius keeps exposing how exhausting constant performance culture has become. Social media, algorithms, productivity obsession, the pressure to always be available or relevant.
I think a lot of people are more mentally tired than they’ve admitted to themselves yet.
Expanded transit: the Full Moon & Uranus in Gemini
The Full Moon on May 31st is worth paying attention to.
Depending on which astrological system you follow, this Moon may be interpreted as occurring in either Sagittarius or Scorpio. While the signs tell slightly different stories, I think they’re pointing toward a similar theme.
Sagittarius wants freedom, movement, and possibility. Scorpio wants honesty. It wants us to look at what we're holding onto, what we've outgrown, and what we're ready to leave behind.
When I look at this particular Full Moon, I can see both.
There’s a growing desire for more freedom right now, but not necessarily in the "quit your job and move to the mountains" kind of way. More in the sense of wanting relief from things that have started to feel too heavy. Old expectations. Old obligations. Old ways of doing things that no longer feel like a good fit.
It feels like one of those moments where you suddenly realize you've been carrying something for so long that you stopped questioning whether you still needed it.
At the same time, Uranus continues preparing to enter Gemini for the first time in roughly 84 years.
This feels like the bigger story unfolding in the background.
We're at the beginning of a long shift in how we communicate, learn, share information, and make sense of the world around us.
You can already see signs of it everywhere:
- shorter attention spans
- information fatigue
- people changing direction more quickly
- difficulty slowing down mentally
- craving connection while feeling overwhelmed by constant communication
There's a lot of creativity and innovation in that. New ideas. New ways of learning. New ways of connecting.
But I keep coming back to the idea that attention is becoming one of the most valuable things we have.
This week feels like a reminder not to give it away too easily.
Another quieter shift: Jupiter preparing to enter Cancer
This one feels softer, but also important.
Jupiter is beginning to prepare for its move into Cancer, and I think we’re already starting to feel the emotional undercurrent of it.
After years of speed, technology, productivity, and constant output, there’s a growing desire for simpler things again:
- home
- nature
- family
- slower living
- meaningful connection
- spaces that actually feel nourishing
I’ve noticed more people talking lately about wanting quieter lives. More gardens. Less screen time. More real conversations.
This feels connected to that.
Almost like the collective nervous system is realizing it can’t stay in overdrive forever.
You might notice
- mental overstimulation or attention fatigue
- stronger emotional reactions to social media or collective tension
- craving more quiet or alone time
- sudden realizations about what no longer fits your life
- desire to simplify your routines or environment
- wanting deeper connection instead of more communication
Who this week may feel strongest for
Gemini
The mental and social pace increases significantly. Helpful if grounded intentionally. Exhausting if not.
Aquarius
Pluto retrograde continues reshaping identity, future direction, and your relationship with collective systems.
Leo
Mars square Pluto may bring tension around visibility, productivity, ego exhaustion, or external pressure.
Sagittarius
This Full Moon may bring emotional clarity, endings, or a stronger desire to move toward something more aligned.
The question becomes:
What actually helps me feel connected to myself again?
Not distracted.
Not productive.
Not consuming.
Connected.
A good time to
- spend more time outside without your phone
- reduce unnecessary mental clutter
- notice how information affects your mood and energy
- reconnect with slower rhythms where possible
- simplify before adding more
- create more space for actual reflection instead of constant input
Apothecary support for the week
🌿 Holy Basil (Tulsi)
For when your mind keeps trying to process everything all at once.
Tulsi helps create a steadier kind of clarity when life starts feeling mentally crowded or emotionally noisy. Especially helpful during seasons where everything feels urgent.
Brings: focus, perspective, calmer thinking
🌿 Lemon
For heaviness, stagnation, and perspective shifts.
Lemon helps clear some of the mental heaviness that builds up when there’s too much input coming from too many directions. Especially helpful when you’ve been consuming too much information, too much social media, or too many opinions that aren’t actually your own.
Brings: freshness, perspective, mental lightness
🌿 Vetiver
For grounding busy energy back into the body.
Vetiver helps slow things down enough to reconnect with yourself again when life starts feeling mentally noisy or too fast-moving.
Brings: steadiness, rootedness, calmer pacing
This week’s blend feels especially supportive for staying mentally clear and grounded while everything around us continues speeding up.
This week is less about trying to keep up with everything and more about paying attention to what actually leaves you feeling clear afterwards.
Some things energize us. Some things just consume our attention.
There’s a difference.
If this week’s forecast resonates with where you are right now, I’d love to have you continue following along with these weekly Astro-Apothecary updates as we move through the season ahead.
There’s a lot shifting collectively right now, and my hope is that these forecasts continue to offer a grounded way to navigate it—through both astrology and plant support.
