Not Everything Needs Your Attention
The strawberries are ripe.
The tiny alpine ones that seem to disappear almost as quickly as they ripen.
The currants are ready too, the cherries are finally sweet, and every trip through the orchard seems to end with a handful of raspberries.
Every year I'm surprised by how quickly it happens. One day everything is green. The next, there are bowls of fruit on the kitchen counter waiting to become juice, syrup, or jam.
Summer has a way of sneaking up on you.
Worth Noticing
Everyone seems to be talking about how busy the sky looks this week.
They're not wrong.
Mars enters Gemini.
Mercury stations retrograde.
The Full Strawberry Moon rises in Capricorn.
Jupiter enters Leo.
It's a busy week.
What caught my attention wasn't any one transit.
It was the contrast between them.
One part of the sky seems determined to speed things up.
Another keeps reminding us that some things simply take the time they take.
The orchard doesn't seem to care how busy we are.
You can't pick raspberries before they're ripe.
No amount of rushing changes that.
Current Astrological Landscape
Mars enters Gemini on June 28, bringing fresh energy to communication, learning, movement, and ideas. It's curious, quick-moving energy that can inspire us to explore new possibilities, but it can also leave us feeling scattered if everything begins to seem equally important.
The following day, Mercury stations retrograde in Cancer. Mercury retrograde often gets blamed for missed appointments and technology glitches, but in Cancer it also invites us to revisit old conversations, memories, family stories, and places that still have something to teach us.
June 29 also brings the Full Strawberry Moon in Capricorn.
Despite its sweet name, the Strawberry Moon isn't named for its colour. It marks the traditional strawberry harvest in many parts of North America. Ours may be tiny alpine strawberries, but they're ripe all the same.
Capricorn's Full Moon asks us to take an honest look at what has matured, what has run its course, and what deserves our continued attention.
Then, on June 30, Jupiter enters Leo, beginning a year-long chapter of creativity, confidence, generosity, and self-expression.
Expanded Transit
Most of the conversation this week is about Mars entering Gemini.
Fast thinking.
Busy schedules.
Unexpected changes.
It's easy to see why.
Life may feel as though someone has opened every browser tab at once.
I'm paying closer attention to the Full Moon.
It arrives just as Mercury begins moving backwards.
One asks us to bring something to completion.
The other quietly suggests we look again before moving on.
There's a temptation this week to keep adding.
Another project.
Another commitment.
Another opinion.
Another distraction.
The Strawberry Moon seems to offer different advice.
Harvest what's ready.
Leave the rest.
Not everything ripens at the same time.

Your world speeds up. Choose where your attention goes before someone else chooses for you.
Cancer
Old conversations or memories may return with fresh perspective.
Capricorn
The Full Moon shines in your sign, bringing clarity around something you've been steadily building.
Leo
Jupiter begins a new chapter. Think less about being seen and more about what you'd like to create.

Some seasons are for planting.
Some are for harvesting.
It's easy to confuse the two.
