Planting What You Want to Grow
One of the things I love about this time of year is that the garden doesn't care about your intentions.
You can have grand plans for tomatoes, beans, flowers, and herbs. You can buy the seeds. You can make the lists. You can imagine the harvest.
But eventually something has to go into the ground.
And once it does, you're in a relationship with it. It needs water. Attention. Time. A little faith.
This week feels like that.
Over the past few weeks we've been talking about clarity, attention, home, nourishment, and the things that genuinely sustain us. Those are important questions.
But at some point reflection has to become action.
A small step in the direction of the life you're trying to create.
The shift
Last week's move of Jupiter into Cancer shifted the conversation toward home, family, roots, belonging, and nourishment.
This week, a New Moon in Gemini brings fresh energy and forward movement.
The question is no longer:
What nourishes me?
The question becomes:
What am I willing to do about it?
Current astrological landscape
Sun in Gemini
Gemini season continues to keep life moving. Conversations, ideas, plans, questions, and possibilities are all in the air.
New Moon in Gemini
This week's New Moon brings fresh energy around communication, learning, and new beginnings. It's less about having all the answers and more about being willing to start.
Venus in Leo
Venus brings a little more warmth and playfulness into the mix. Creativity, joy, beauty, and self-expression all benefit from some attention this week.
Jupiter in Cancer
The larger backdrop remains Jupiter's recent move into Cancer, encouraging us to build lives that feel nourishing, connected, and worth coming home to.
Expanded transit: The Gemini New Moon
The New Moon on June 14th arrives with a simple invitation:
Pick something.
Not everything.
Something.
Gemini energy is curious by nature. It likes options. Possibilities. New ideas. Different directions.
Which is wonderful—until every option starts looking equally appealing.
Then it's easy to get stuck researching, comparing, planning, and keeping all your options open.
At some point there has to be a first step.
A conversation.
A decision.
A commitment.
A seed in the ground.
You don't need to know exactly where it's going.
Most meaningful things don't begin with certainty. They begin with curiosity. A hunch. An interest you decide to follow.
This New Moon feels supportive of small beginnings.
The kind that don't look like much at first, but end up changing everything.
Another notable shift: Venus in Leo
Venus enters Leo this week and brings some welcome levity.
There has been a lot of serious energy lately. Big transitions. Big questions. Big decisions.
Leo reminds us that life isn't only about responsibility.
It's also about enjoyment.
Making something because you want to.
Wearing the good dress.
Inviting people over.
Laughing until you forget what you were worried about.
Pay attention to what brings you alive this week.
There's information there too.
You might notice
-
feeling ready to move forward on an idea
-
making a decision you've been postponing
-
renewed creative energy
-
new conversations opening unexpected possibilities
-
a desire to simplify rather than complicate
-
feeling more excited about the future than you did a few weeks ago
You may recognize yourself in this if you are...
A Gemini
Feeling ready to stop thinking about something and start doing it. The New Moon brings momentum, fresh ideas, and a reminder that action creates clarity.
A Pisces
Trying to bring a dream down to earth. This week isn't asking for a perfect plan. It's asking for one practical step.
A Taurus
Thinking about what deserves your time and attention. Not everything needs to grow. Some things are worth pruning so something else can thrive.
A Leo
Feeling the urge to create, share, celebrate, or simply enjoy yourself a little more. Life doesn't always need to be useful to be worthwhile.
A Capricorn
Looking at the long game. This week asks whether your daily habits are helping build the future you actually want.
The question becomes:
What am I willing to tend?
Because whatever we consistently give our attention to eventually grows.
A good time to
-
begin a project you've been thinking about
-
have the conversation you've been avoiding
-
make one meaningful commitment
-
spend time on something creative
-
choose progress over perfection
-
focus on what you want more of, rather than what you're trying to avoid
