How was your May long weekend this year? Did you take a little (local) trip? Did you have a staycation with the kids? After some time away from home, or even having spent too much time at home, it might be tough for some of us to get back into, or even develop our daily routines.
In addition, these days there are so many factors that can hinder this process. Our favorite way to get back into the groove of things starts with a good essential oil blend.
There is so much magic and pleasure in creating one’s own blend that works just right for YOU! So for this week’s blend recipe, instead of choosing a specific blend for you, we’re here to guide you to create your ultimate, personal blend for home and body!
This is what we suggest.
Start with adding 3 oils, in this order, to 1oz (30ml) of a carrier oil:
2 drops of a base note (usually woody or earthy) like patchouli, sandalwood, cedarwood, clove, frankincense...
5 drops of a middle note (herbaceous or spicy) like marjoram, lemon balm, clary sage, black pepper...
3 drops of a top note (camphoraceous or citrusy) like orange, petit grain, basil, bergamot, eucalyptus... Y
You can use this oil blend as a perfume or roll-on therapy any time you need to come back to your own unique center. This makes a very light dilution (less than 1%) so add more essential oils as needed.
But first, please make sure to research the safety data on essential oils prior to use, and do a "patch test" before using any oils on your skin.
HINT: If you go to the “ESSENTIAL OILS” page of our website, take a look at the left-hand menu bar. You can browse essential oils by these categories: base, middle and top notes!
