Granted, this blog post comes a few days after Easter, but here we are.
When we think of Easter, we are not only reminded of the Christian holiday of marking the resurrection of Jesus Christ (and chocolate eggs and bunnies), but also of spring, the resurrection of Plant Life, the Natural world, and the championing of the sun over the long winter nights.
After all, the very root of all religious beliefs lay in the Earth; the ‘Here and Now’ of existence. In this way humans, as co-inhabitants of this glorious Earth, are joined together through the land, the shifting of the seasons, and are forever linked and dependent on our animal and plant relatives who surround, tolerate, and support us.
But enough existential rambling for now.
Here is a bright and fresh essential oil blend to remind you of beautiful days spent in this garden we call Earth.
May you find comfort in birdsong, excitement in the crashing of waves, and wisdom in the blooming of a flower.
- 2oz (60ml) Jojoba Oil (or carrier oil of choice)
- 30 drops Sweet Orange (Citrus sinensis)
- 30 drops Grapefruit (Citrus paradise)
- 30 drops Cedarwood (Cedrus atlantica)
This makes roughly a 3% dilution.
Please make sure to research the safety data on essential oils prior to use, and do a "patch test" before using any oils on your skin.
