As we soak up the very last drops of summer and welcome in a new season, the trees continue their slow descent into the crisp slumber of fall. In light of the unusually hot and dry summer we’ve had on this side of the world, this blend was created to honor the forests towns that have experienced heartbreaking damage.
You can create a ritual, using this blend in an anointing oil. Write down your prayers, wishes, or thoughts for the trees, wildlife and people who have lost their lives and homes in this year’s wildfires.
You may anoint yourself and your writings with this oil, and offer it up to a flowing river, stream or creek. You may choose to bathe in a body of water as you send out your thoughts of thanks and hope for the Earth’s regeneration.
In 30ml of carrier oil, add:
- 5 drops Fir Needle (Abies siberica)
- 5 drops Frankincense (Boswellia serrata)
- 5 drops Cedarwood (Cedrus atlantica)
While this makes a light dilution of only 2%, please be sure to refer to the safety guidelines of all essential oils and do a patch test before applying them to your skin.
